Hi to all
Picked up a 53 cal smoothbore french tulle style smoothbore made by Mike Miller
at the trade fraire in Lawrenceburg Ky on Friday.  He is loaning it to me for a while
to shoot and play.  It has a 52" barrel and  I need to find a 54" wooden rod to use
as a loading rod at the range.   Don't want to wear out the rod that is with the gun.
Anyone know where a hickory blank this long can be found?  Thought of going to Home Depot
and buying some dowel but not looking forward to a rod threw my palm.

Thanks to all and Stay Well and Shoot Often

If it doesn't have to be "HC"...October Country makes very stiff strong tubular brass rods to any finished length you want...epoxys and pins the ends...buffs them out so well you have to squint to see where the pins are...I have a few and they're outstanding.  And if you're OK with brass but wish it was darker, you can use Birchwood Casey's antique brown solution made to darken brass...tried it and it works...doesn't rub off easily like Brass Black does.
