I'll ask some of the reloaders around here if they have some different sizes I can try, before heading seventy five miles to Shooter's Supply.  At least now I know what to ask for, and am very hopeful of finding something that works.     Many thanks again, fellas!

 Mouse, I emailed Traditions, this was the reply. Attached is the owners manual...

The manual is attached with the loading and shooting instructions.  You want to use no more than 10 grains of powder and a .310" ball.

Many thanks, Mike!  I've downloaded the manual, and read thru it.   I only wish that one of the couple hundred .310 roundballs I have on hand would go down the barrel instead of sitting on top of it.  See why I'm frustrated?

I'm sure it's a CVA.   I'm at the library and don't have it with me to check all the wording on the gun itself, but I do know that the CVA emblem is stamped on the barrel on the other side.

If the Derringer is a muzzle loader as I thing it is, it should take a .300 or
smaller PBR. I think I know a guy who may have a mold that will work.
If you can get it miked in the next few days I well  see is Dave still has it
