Well most of you know that I am portraying my Gt. (4x) Grandfather, who was living in the Fox river valley of Wisconsin, from 1800-1820, hunting and trapping... until he spotted a church being built and headed West... according to family legend he was at the first 2 green river Rondy's and sent a letter back to his wife and child in Wisconsin from the 2nd Rondy.  He disappeared after that and was never seen again...

I use 2 separate persona to be him one around 1800- 1820 in Wisconsin, and the other a Mountain Man of the 1824-1830 time frame.

I have received most of my information on these two time frames from the good people here and at the sister site, with a tone of research added in by me hitting the web and our local library....
