I just finished ordering some Aluminum  round bar and tubing.

I'm going to make one in medal.
It will be thinner with the same length.

A buddy and I made one tonight, it didnt work.
Due to the parts trouble(o rings), we had to make ours bigger, plunger was 5/8 and used copper tubing.
we used the print as far as making the parts the length shown, we turned a grove in the 5/8 dowel to accept the 5/8 x7/16x1/8 o ring.Used some jute, cotton, even char cloth and none ignited.
I am thinking it was a combination of the increased diameter and the plunger was harder to shove in and get back out than those shown in the videos I have seen.

did find out that we didnt lube the o ring so that didnt help at all,will report back later after trying it again.
