Yer more than welcome sir.

Bulldog lady

Think I finally figured this out or at least for once.  hdslp Thanks so much for the pattern.  Am having to make a few modifications, seems as all those years spent as white woman wearing them there highheels  , afore met the jammin jim,  I'm a payin fur now.  Hammertoes and bunions!!  Used scrap upholstery material for cheap trial as each foot different!!  Just a thought for those who were talking about buying hides- had a pattern for an afghan made from different colored suedes and then crocheted together.  Well now I'm about to tell  you guys who might live near one of then cute little botiques called the coutier de goodwill-  :)esp in Colo or cooler weather  you can go in and buy suede and leather skirts, jackets, etc for little of nothin- use then for a trial pair, if fit fine they work for when not out a trekin and then go use the good stuff.  Well best sign off and go take care of our new little bulldog. he is 2 wk and 1 day old and a growin. Wishin all you mountain people a happy 4th of July,  flwa Thanks to all you who are "vets".

Been lookin' at that cheap leather source..all seemed to thin for what I wanted to build, but hadn't thought about a trial  patern for first try..also lighter stuff would let me work out the quirks before fighting with thick stuff.  Good luck with pup.

Today is the day I try out the Moc pattern.    The grands need a pair and they want to "help."  I think we'll do as suggested and run to goodwill first, see if we can find old suede clothes to cut the trial patterns out of.   Thanks for posting the pattern, micanopy.

mine are coming along real good.  Bulldog Lady got side tracked making a prize for the sister site so my moccs got put on hold.  She is embellishing mine with a little quill work.  as soon as she lets me I will snap some pictures.  She loves the instructions micanopy provided!

After sneaking into Bulldog Lady's Inner sanctum I came across this mocc I'm not sure where the other one is...

This is from Micanopy's pattern and instructions.  They fit great and I think will look super when she gets the quill work done on them....

FYI- I know exactly where the left one is and whom ever said the Jammin Jim was out of the dog house for his recent purchase?  Last I knew a pair was two- I did the right one and he gets to do the left one devel!   just jokin-kinda---  only suggestion for a great simple pattern is if you plan to beading or such do it before you seam it up, I'm having trouble gettin my hands into the ends of those "gunboats"(size 12 1/2 +)  new meaning of saschwatch (sp) tracks!!

How would you adjust the pattern if you where wanting to line your mocs with either blanket material or sheepskin?

DEADDAWG

Make your mocs from the innermost layer first and take your measurements from there.

I haven't tackled making a pair of mocs yet, but my first thought would be to make a pair of mocs of wool or whatever first just dont add the collar around the top, the when you trace your foot for the leather, wear your wool mocs so that you make the leather ones big enough.
