Any other members of the NRA out there who are getting numerous calls (about every 3 weeks) hitting you up for money?  Getting so tired of it that I am considering dropping membership.  Been a member for about 20 years but the constant pressure for more $$ is pissing me off.  Got another call tonight if you can't guess. >:(

I haven't received any yet. Been a member for a long time. Just lucky I guess.
I'd ask that you not leave the NRA. We need you more than ever these days.

After thirty years, being a life member and finding out what I have about them, I can say too bad for me being too late smart... and good riddance.
Last time they called me I criticized them to the money raiser and they stopped sending the magazine. That spoke volumes, confirming what I had come to believe.

Life member for over 40 years and have ony received one call from them in that time.... It was to congradulate me on my being accepted to the Shooting instructor program on an American Legion Scholorship.

I've been a member for 20-some years and never got a call for money,a lot of mail but if i can't give, I trash it. I maintain my membership 'cause I figure we need some one to carrey on the fight agaist the people who figure we're too dumb or too criminal too have firearms. Remember, criminals don't have to register any firearms they have because it's illegal for them to have firearms so it would be against their Fifth amendment rights to require them to register their firearms. ucrzy

Look into their role in producing legislation and then decide for yourself. :-&

Only got one call..after the info speal they asked if I wanted to be a member...gave them my life member # and said not till after I die.  They have hired some solisitors that don't have access to all their records or don't bother to cross reference their member lists with the lists of "sportsmen" they get from other sourses.  Maybe they need a new computer program from India!!

I finally told the last one that called to take my name off the mailing list.  I was getting calls from them 2 or 3 times a month.  I hate the way they waste money.  I've been a memember for 40 years or more.  Have to belong to the NRA to have a membership in my rifle and pistol club. :(

3 calls in the last 2 weeks.  Some of them don't want to take "no" for an answer.  Keep starting the requests at $75 and work their way down to $20.  Then tell me what a deal on membership - 5 years at only $175 or some such.  Phooey.

I let my membership lapse years ago due to this very same thing, they kept calling me, begging for money and sending letters twice a month even after numerous requests to stop. In addition they would not correct my name and address

I am however a life member of the Texas State Rifle Association as when I asked to be removed from thier general mailing and call list then complied, no questions asked.  And they got my name and address correct on the first try.  The TSRA is on top of key issues, has a rating system based on a questionare sent to elected state officials and sponsors shooting events representing all types of shooting disciplines.
