Over 35 yr. since I was out in your area. If it is the are wing your might want arrange for close ground support as old nick the tick and jake no shoulders can get mighty mean this time of year

In the area you are going will you have to be on the "lookout" for those guys that grow and harvest that "weed" that they make into " funny grass?

not really, the area is pretty inaccessible, and the sheriff's went through a couple months back lookin for those "grass" farmers and the area is clean

I knew you are a marine (once, always) and they take care of their own thats why I made the crack about putting them on standby....

I hope you guys have a very memorable treck and the only thing I didn't see in the gear pictures was the cameras so we can see some of the fun you had when you get back!

You want to find the grass farms?  Look in the Santa Cruze Mountains just above BenLomad...(spell check, I haven't been there for a couple  of decades)  That was the hot spot in the 70's....

lol jammin jim, no worries buddy, i have really thick skin, it will be a great trek! and i'm bringing a camera! and i promise to post pics of those nifty white knickers that DB's wearing after they have gotten sufficiently dirty! besides, this will be quiet  an event, the owners of 2 forums trekkin together. and we do have grass farmers up here, woo be them should i come across there farm! i'm carring my .50 cal flint GPR and i'm goooooood with it! hitting dinner plates at 250 yards! and DB and i will have the high ground!

all in all, its gonna be one hell of a great time!

now you all realize, its gonna be your turn next! its summer go find an adventure, get in your gear, and take pics!

If the weather stays like it is now there will no treck for me this summer.
When the temps hit 90+ and the hummidy get up in the three digits it is time
for this old man to go under ground.
Maybe this fall when temps go down and the wife retires.

i dont blame you! i hate the heat, and humidity! thats why i live up here! hot is 80 degrees, with 35% humididty

We have been getting blasted here!  Temp's in the high 90's with humidity also in the 90's... for the last week!  To hot during the day to go out and burn some powder...

Supposed to have a shoot this weekend, but Bulldog lady say's unless the temp breaks I'm going by myself... she just can not handle the heat.  I'm gonna try to brave it out, the truck may be running all day so I have a cool spot to relax in.... And I am NOT wearing the coonskin hat this weekend!
