UAW Local 218 has voted not to ratify the collective bargaining agreement offered by Bell Helicopter. Therefore we are officially on strike as of midnight tonight.

How's it going?

they are going back to the negotiating table on the 1st of July.  A federal mediator was called in to get that done.  Our sister union, the 317, will vote on their contract offer tomorrow night...they are thinking that they will strike as well, if they get a similiar offer.  Hope the two parties can get us a good deal hammered out, funds are gonna get low real soon.

FORT WORTH, Texas  An agreement has been reached between Bell Helicopter and members of United Auto Workers Local 317.

Yeah just read the meat of the story on another site...looks like we will be the ones getting screwed.  They took almost the same contract with a smaller bonus.  Now we will probably not get a bonus, and the same insurance offer.
