Its time for the first TMOC Tall Tale Contest!!

Hay y'all!  It's time for a fun new contest!


Can you really spin a yarn?  Good, then join us in our contest

RULES
1.  Tale must be Original, no paraphrasing any previous tail.
2.  Tale must be from fur trader period prior to 1870
3.  Extra points will be awarded if the vernacular of the time/area are used.
4.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for sure...maybe more if we get donations.
5.  Tails must be  minimum of 500 words.
6,  Some language choices can be allowed to be period correct, but racial slurs intended as such are not allowed.

DISCLAIMER:  Language choices of the time period will be allowed in order to allow historic accuracy.  Some language may be offensive. If you would rather not be exposed, then do not read the tall tale posts.

Due Date:  May 20th at 12:00 P.M. Pacific time.  Judges will be Heather Historian and Dryball  Places will be announced by May 27 at 12:00 PM. Pacific time.
Post your stories here on this board.....be sure to state For Tall Tail Contest on your post.  When places are announced, prizes will go to the first three places....more if we have some donations.

OK, I'm in, but,,,,,,,, only 2 weeks to put it together? and what about minimum  and maximum # of words?

Yup...2 weeks. Do you need longer? Then we will have till the 20th....okay? How many words would you suggest for mini and maxi?

i would suggest a minimom of say approx. 500 words, i dont think we will have to worry about a maximum
