We need that target in PDF so all will have same size target...Jean, you wanna fix it? Gun will be muzzle loaded, with black powder or substitute, no inlines, offhand....no rest of any kind...this means no slings also. Intended for rifle, but if you wanna use your pistola ala Elmer Kieth, you can use a field rest. Okay?

The only reason I mentioned the M1 is, at this time the closest I can get is about 800-900 meters with the creek out all over every thing, and I just don't
think an ml would be that accurate at that distance. Heck I don't know is i could hit it with the M1 any more.

I've seen you shoot... and I'd bet that you could drill the ace of spades at that distance with yor M1, (if you could see the card that is....) :)

no, but, i think with a little practice with my ithaca, 400 yards is realistic

50 yards, offhand, 5 shots, best 3 are the only ones counted....that means that if your first two are badly off you have a chance to correct your aim for the next three. The three closest to center are the only ones counted.

I am glad we got the whole month of May to get this one done. As it is now, to heck with the M1 I need a gun boat. The whole range and camping area is under water, can't tell is the target stands are even still there.
