I think I've probably posted a photo of this rifle a time or two.  This is my go to rifle when deer hunting.  For a low dollar rifle it's very accurate, with patched ball or conical.

That's a sharp looking hawken. Looks real handy. Gonna git me a sling like that to help lock in off hand.

this heres my "daily driver" I built from a Golden Age Arms kit about 10 years ago. Issac Haines style with a .50 colerain 42" swamped barrel, Davis Deluxe lock, and a junky stock! Theres a small knot on the cheekrest side!  I didn't want to booger up a premium piece of wood so I went with cheap!

This is "Ole Wormy", My real go to gun! .40 smoothbore. Bill Large barrel thats bore choked,.60grs 3f and .400 ball with pillow tick. I've won more matches with this gun than any other I own. Ugly but deadly. Great on tree rats too. 60grs 3f,measure and a 1/2 of mixed shot with an Ox-yoke wad between powder and 1 on top. She's feed me many times in the woods. This is the bag for too.
