Went out in the backyard Sunday for a couple hours.
My, how time flies when you're having a blast. ;D
I'm still trying to find out how my .36 flint rifle shoots..
50 yds...
My el cheapo target bullseye is only 1.5 inches..front sight near covers it up ::)..mebbe bigger target, and RED ??
The first 2 rounds are at 6 o'clock..40 gr GOEX 3f and crisco .010 patch.
the next 3 are the ones at 10-11 o'clock...same powder but .020 (doubled) patch.
I shot 5 more rds after this target...(with .010 patch.. )  they all clustered at 11-12 o'clock, just outside the bull.
Dan'l Boone I ain't, but.. I'm trying...
One thing I tried was rounding off the sprues by throwing a dozen balls between two steel plates and rolling them..
Kinda like a lapping plate...
Someone mentioned their mentor doing this and figured I better give it a try.
Sure made them balls look rounder..seemed to improve the accuracy a bit too.
I think I need to delve further into this.

I wish i could shoot in my backyard. Sounds like you had a good time. I like using blue masking tape to mark my targets with very easy to see.

back your charge up by 5gr shoot a couple of groups see if there is any difference if no go back to 40 and increase by 5 check the group size  and be sure you always lay your patch with the threads running the same way each time
and use the same amount of prime each time  ever thing must be consistent ever shot
