I just don't get why, when the site disappeared, Everyone moaned and wanted it back up.  Okay, it's back up and it's again being ignored!  That's what I don't get.  My curse is that from henceforth all your children & grandchildren will be BORN NEKKED!!!

Since my brother died I don't have anybody to shoot with. And since all the farms I used to have to hunt/shoot on are all subdivisions now it's a 90mile round trip to either one of the two game department ranges I have access to. A long expensive drive to shoot by yourself. So, I can't even remember the last time I did anything with my guns other than get them out & wipe them down now & then.

So, I come here every day to see if anybody else has a life to share & there might be 4 or 5 new posts & they're all just about like this one.

I'm still here and will post when I have something to say.

When I get a chance I will post about the Beaver Creek Spring Rendezvous but that will probably be later today.

well ,the last two weeks have been rather rough !  my younger brother called me on monday morning two weeks ago , saying he could`nt breath , I ,   was in to check on him yesterday told him dial 911 and just sit down and wait , they took him to the hospital , and worked on him ! walked into town to check on him . he looked horrible and was having trouble breathing even with the oxygen mask , three days later he seemed much better , not only was he breathing better , you could understand him when he spoke , two  days later he was almost as bad as when he went in ,  couple days later he was doing better , was in to check on him yesterday , and he was much worse ! 3:40 am this morning he passed on ! he was 62 , he had copd , caused by forty years of smoking !   both parents were smokers , both died of cancer , and now my younger brother dies from self inflicted lung damage ! if you smoke  once in a while , it might be ok , but a pack a day is in my opinion nothing less than  slow suicide !   I  know this will not be a popular opinion , I dont care !

Sorry to hear about your brother.

No one in my family smoked nor smokes now. However, my stepfather did .. 3 packs of Pall Mall a day. They are unfiltered cigarettes and he died in his early 60s of emphysema and lung cancer. He was never fat but was nothing but skin & bones when he died.

My 1st wife and I separated for a few months and she wanted to get back together. She had started smoking during the separation and I told her I couldn't live with a smoker.  The next week I called a lawyer and filed for divorce.

So, Beowulf, your comments did not make me angry nor should it make anyone angry if they have a brain.

I grew up in a house full of smokers(half of them chain-smokers) when no-one knew the dangers of first-hand smoke much less second-hand. And like a fool I smoked from late teens to early 20's. My Grampaw, mother, all 3 aunts, and two uncles all died of cancer. Figure one of the few right decisions I've made in my life was the day I quit that nasty habit.

Sorry to hear this, and sorry for your loss...  Those of you who had the opportunity to meet my late wife know she smoked - usually a pack to a half pack or so a day- Her smoking contributed to her death ...  No need to carry on ... smoking is an issue we won't go into ...
