Happy New Year to all my fellow muzzleloader shooters!! This coming year I'll become an octogenarian so no new year resolutions. I just plan on laughing a lot and enjoying my life. I wish each of you the same for this next year.

Happy New Year!

  Happy New Year from the Squeeze and Hanshi.  And going into 2022 I aim to do the following: tread lightly, try and be slightly optimistic but not stick my neck out, not attract attention, make no noise and stay quiet, believe nothing I am told, believe only a quarter of what I read and only half of what I see with my own eyes, follow the science and ignore talking heads/political talk/pseudoscience.

I believe the following:  covid-19 will become endemic and will continue taking lives indefinitely, many people will continue to regularly get their flu shots but not covid shots, men still won't allow authorities to tell them what to do with their bodies BUT will continue to use use government to deny women the same right, like most everything else our powder supplies will be dependent upon foreign manufacturers, our numbers will continue to fall as the oldest BP fans leave us with few new ones to replace them, but our "hobby" will never go away simply due to lower participation (the core will remain), the price of a decent cigar will continue upward like everything else.

But on the bright side: with the deployment of the futuristic James Webb telescope at an astonishing orbit of around one million miles (well beyond the moon's ave distance from Earth at around 240,000 miles) we will discover more about the Universe in a few years than has been learned since the dawn of time.  Global warming will continue (for decades) causing great extinctions and food shortages with some areas becoming uninhabitable. 

But on the BRIGHTER side: greater technologies will come faster and faster, stuff will happen, other stuff won't happen, More cool movies will be made, Good Whiskey will still be with us as will "the force", Boba Fett will run for president and live velociraptors will be found caged in a movie studio.
Lots of other stuff will be going on but other stuff won't be.  That's all for now.
