I got to attend and participate in a regular historic event camp and reenactment for the first time in over a year,...it was wonderful !  I got to set op my Tent and Trading post big camp for the first time in 2021 at the Siege of Fort Wayne 1812 event,.. It was not quit as well attend as in the past and some Covid19 restrictions kept parts of the program from happening,..but it was fun to be back at the fort with friends I had not seen in over a year!

Judging from the photos that just had to be fun.  I've only been to two rendezvous but no way could I stay and camp over.  The fatigue form ra - may you and yours never encounter it - is devastating.  I used to be an extreme athlete and know what tired is; and ra fatigue is a whole nother animal.  On a good day, not common by any means, I have maybe 6 hours of social activity I can push through.

I do belong to The Ancient Ones of Maine but can't do the rendezvous.  I have a new friend from NY state who was up and attended the one a few weeks ago.  We corresponded and ended up having a very nice visit here.  Something about traditional muzzleloaders (or is it "ists") that make them better people than most others.  Hope you did fully enjoy the event.  dntn chrrs
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
