My buddy Dan is the first person I met as a junior in high school when I moved to Sonoma County. We have been best friends ever since. He has worked all over the country and finally made it back here a few years ago and said he was done moving. Then the fires came through two years ago and missed his house by just a few yards and rattled him. His mother passed and now he and his wife have decided to move to Denver. I think it is the biggest mistake he could make, but they want to be close to the grand kids. Go figure. Over the past couple of years I have gotten him interested in muzzleloaders and took him to the only rendezvous within 150 miles of us the last couple of times it came around. He had a blast (pun intended) and would like to continue shooting. He has absolutely nothing, firearm wise, black powder or modern and just used my stuff. I am planning on driving with him on one of his hauling trips and figured on giving him Redhawk, my CVA Hawken that he was shooting and everything he will need to shoot.
I know we have some members in the Denver area and would like to know if anyone would like to take him under their wing and help to keep him burning powder. For that matter, since now I will be forced to travel out of state, I would like to meet up with any of our members that are in the area too. And I promise that, no matter what Red Badger and Hanshi say, there will be no law enforcement incidents while I am out there, hopefully.  ;D

I am the one your mom warned you about!

I'm in denver, when will you be coming through? Unfortunatley I'm also out of town for a while. and probably offline for the next week.

Not much is happening except monthly shoots in the area this time of year but he will need to look up the CSMLA.

Let me know when you are heading that way I might be coerced into a trip to Colorado Springs  :mini-devil-28492:

I am at the mercy of a sissy boy who is afraid to drive his truck, pulling a small tandem axle converted horse trailer, if there is snow on the ground. Depending on weather forecasts, I am hoping to drive out there sometime in the first two weeks of December. But knowing my lifelong friend, it might be April before he feels up to the challenge. I will give as much notice as I can.

Just let us know when, at that point we can figure out how to do a meet and greet.

Red Badger
