I Like!!  thmbsup    That's a Home run! you cover all the bases for Good Usable and on the cheap!!!  hdslp I Wish I would have saved all those old welding gloves! The fingers would turn rock hard and I would just get new ones [hmm] same thing with the Leather Welding aprons a lot of good leather got tossed in the trash :'(    And not to forget all the Spike and Bolt Kegs we went and trashed or burnt for heat in the winter  :'( :'(

thanks for all the positive responses. had this old welding jacket lying around which I wasn't  using anymore. In fact I was thinking about tossing it in the garbage a few weeks ago, but got distracted with other stuff and forgot about it until the day I went out hunting. I was using a hunting fanny pack. but when I tried to open the flap, the velcro would make noise and the zipper would make noise. so I decided to make something a little more quiet. the button is from the arts and craft store Micheal's. Can't wait to take it out into the woods., Thanks again

Cool AND cheap; it don't get no better than that.  Good craftsmanship, too.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Great job repurposing that and now you've got a fireproof bag to boot. It might even meet Kalifornia safety regulations, as long as you don't use lead for your bullets.
