The buttplate is just like the brass kit one, just a different metal. The triggered is vaguely shaped like a Hawken but sized and configured to fit the inlet. Kneecap same just different metal. I have a matchbox that is a fit for the inlet, is steel, but is very much thinner than the brass one. I did not use it for the conversion, but  rather had a larger one so I used that. The parts are probably 30 years old. Still looks TC to me. I have thinned the comb and done some shaping on the headpiece. Need to complete it and find it a home.

After rereading my last post, my autocorrect cracks me up. At least you all did not call me on the rifles kneecap or matchbox.

A couple of years ago I did some mild customizing on my t/c hawken rifle...went with all steel...a few pieces, buttplate, trigger gaurd and patchbox purchased from the hawken rifle shop and a few others handmade...I bought this stuff all together from a buddy who had the intentions of doing the project himself but lost interest...ill see if I can dig up pictures... But it does look good, with the exception of the short barrel.

Arn (country for "steel")  furniture makes a gun look (to me) "serious".  hntr
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
