It's like golf, low score wins.

      score count is as stated,  1X or 2X etc means on bull or X  if you aim for dead center, X and hit in the X area, that scores you 1 X.  the more points the better but a tie breaker is the amount of X's.  refer to the official TMotC target to further understand

      highest possible score is 50 with 5X

Whoa!  I might have scored possible if I had used the sights instead of relying on sense of smell.  Ahem!

If one uses their sense of smell instead of their eyes, would the "alignment tools" be called "SNOOTS"?

Well, what did you decide? Snoots make TOTAL sense if you're going by sense of smell.
