Read ENVY! A habit I never developed.  rdfce I just lock the door, and when I get back next day, 5 min. of contemplation [hmm] gets me back to where I left off....all my tools are still where I left um and that sort of thing. ;D  I seldom clean up till a project is compleet. But as time goes on I find that I spend more and more time huntin stuff.  pnic  Whish I could find some o them elve thinges!!!!
BTW good to hear from you!

You even have all your tools lined up for use. I am so ADD and bounce from one project to another that I cannot even see the floor in my shop anymore, much less use the table saw or my workbench. I think a clean shop is a product of sick mind. I may be wrong but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.  rdfce
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Well I guess I am a little type "A" & OCD,  can't help it----ran away from home at 17 and joined the Marines. Never had a chance a being "Normal" after 5-1/2 yr. in the green machine.  Got buttstock shaped today, ready for fore arm profile tomorrow.  Getting close.  ....Tom

Well here the little thing is.  3 lb. 15 oz.  or 4 lb. 3 oz. with sling/swivels.

Papa

gunny,
If it handles and shoots as good as it looks it ought to be a good one. Very nice.

Really lookin good there gunmaker!!!  wtch  I like that the ramrod dont get out in front of the muzzle!! I just hate when that happens!  pnic  Like the color too!!  thmbsup What wood and Stain did you use???

Hanshi

Oh, my!  I want that gun so much I'd almost be willing to pay for it.  That sort of thing strums my heart strings like a fairy playing a harp.  Love it, love it, love it; how about lots of more better pictures?   :applause:
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Sweed,  it's feiblings leather dye, dark brn. cut 50% with their reducer. Then 6 coats of BLO rubbed hard to force it into wood.  Then 4 coats of tung oil.  Then a coat of briwax.   Thats it.

gunmaker

Hanshi, click on last pic & theres 4 of it close up finished.....Tom

Love the smell of that feiblings!!!  ROFL You just put one coat or did you have to over coat it in areas? I really like that color you got!!  [hmm]

olflint

Hey gunmaker!! Been wondering were you've been. Looks like you have been busy. Nice looking fowler  thmbsup!!! Do you make your own trigger and trigger plates?? Been thinking about making my own. If I wasn't building these myself, I would definitely have one of your fowlers.

olflint, Made the tgr/plate, pipes, side plate & front site on this one.  I go by the Grenville co. book on tgr forging.  You don't need one a mine --I've seen your work  ;D  Sweed, one coat of stain, let it dry hour or so then buff it with a soft rag.  Then dry overnite before the BLO goes on.    Tom
