I just got in from Midway a new Lee round ball .440 mold. There are design changes from the little rods used to line up the halves to pins. I have not put it to use yet.  What do y'all think of the new design?

Got the same one when I ordered a new one....Works about the same as my old one, but like the old one better...It matched my others and  I have to tap the new one differently to get good results....

I took 1000 grit wet dry paper and polished the top of the mold and underside of spruce cutter. It moves very smoothly.

My 45 cal combo ball and REAL mould I got last year was the new style . IMO a great improvement to their product.

I just got a Lee .433 mold and the access holes in the aluminum are a bit larger in diameter than the previous ones. They allow too much lead to flow in and it 'splashes' out causing voids. I had to reduce the flow rate from the bottom pour pot to get balls without voids.
