Thanks to everyone for helping with this nice, peaceful place to hangout
I am amazed at the knowledge associated with the few members we have here

The refugees, rejects, and malcontents of other sites, some of us just a step or two ahead of angry mobs with torches and ropes.

Sounds like a motley assortment of -- what was it? -- thirteen colonies, regarded by some in the Old World as a dumping ground for their nations' garbage. That turned out fairly well (for which most of the countries of Europe have never really forgiven us).

All right, it's hardly that earth-shaking and world-changing a process we've begun, but I'm still optimistic that this site has a brighter future than some imagined at first -- or would care to admit even now. That's due to the decency of all the folks here, not some particular talent that one or another of us might possess.

Mr Woodchuck

I like it.

The most important thing about this site is,

The people respect others and don't thumb there noses because we all don't have custom rifle arms and equipment that some can't afford to be period correct..

It great to be able to share knowledgeable information and not be looked down upon if learning..

It's not what tool you use to hunt with.
It's that you use the tool Legally and Ethically

As one who does the period correct thing quite a lot --

IMHO it needs to be remembered, to a large extent the whole thing is more an overgrown, year-round version of Halloween than anything that needs to be taken too awful seriously. It's one part vacation from reality, one part a game, one part ongoing learning experience, and a few more parts other factors, depending on who's doing it. And life's basically a joke -- with the humor sometimes being very, very dark. So I, at least, am never going to get very uptight about something I do for my own enjoyment and education, and no other reason.

The biggest thing is that everyone has fun doing what they can with what they have  ;D

I refuse to grow up and like the big boom of my Davey Crockett and Dan'l Boone guns lollollol  ;D ;)

I guess that we must also remember that the very folks that we are reenacting were usually not that rich to begin with.

Mr Woodchuck

I think more than a few of us kin hide behind de bull ...

I was remarking to my lovely bride that in February we had no guns at all in our house.  Now we have 10 all together, with around 6 more on the way. And only 5 of those are non-BP.

Mr Woodchuck
