I found an old cabinet at the thrift store, took the crappy doors off added some drawers and handles and a work space and got me a camp kitchen! I'm stoked it worked out great. And I'm no wood worker that is for sure!

Also made a couple boxes for hauling my dry goods and other gear to rendezvous and car camping. They also can do double duty as I made them to fit in my canoe as well!

The Shovel I just cut down and added the end handle so it would look more at home in my rendezvous camp also radiused the end so the handle would fit better. $5 shovel at Menards.

(The yard slopes, not the box)

I don't think those are paper towels,  I think it is a roll of Birch Bark tinder...  bunkr   ROFL  ROFL

I use the camp kitchen for normal family camping as well as rondezvous. And I'm by no means pc. So yes I have paper towels.

Paper towels are one of those thing that would have been used on day ONE if available!

If anyone else wants one of these, the Log Cabin Shop has one on the porch, for sale. Seemed to be priced right.

Just out of curiosity what does that kitchen weigh when loaded?  I have seen some that need a team of horses to pull around whn they are empty... and the first one I sketched out on paper would have been to big for one person to lift....

NOt sure what it weighs, but I can move it around by myself fairly easy. BUt, I wouldn't want to carry it far.

I love the repurposing of old things. We as a family are trying to work this into all parts of lives.
