This was my first try with a buffalo horn. Did a lot of file work. It is somewhat flattened with a semi domed pine plug. I realized doing this horn that I need to get some new sharp files. My 12+year old file's days are numbered. Sorry for the blurry pics.

And yes, there are still some tooling marks. But I have had my fill of working on this horn. (at least for now)

looks good to me, love a flat horn.

Nice job!
I am not a horn man but some of the work I see here makes me partially rethink that.

Nice horn Linc. I know what you mean about "having your fill" with the bision horn, I did the same thing on one my first bision a while back, but after seeing what you've done I think my next bision horn may be a flat horn as well.  hi:

Thank you all for the kind words. This was my second attempt at a flat horn. I am sure I will be trying more.

Flat horns are easy when the temp. is 105 degree's outside! ___ Just put your horn out on the side walk!

So that's the secret !!!!!!! Hottest it has been was 101 and I don't have a sidewalk I could put one in the road and let a tractor trailer run over it.  ROFL ROFL ROFL
