Well, after an excessively long vacation spent waiting for my hand to heal, I start back to work on limited duty Monday, the 17th. The hand isn't 100% yet, but close enough to resume living my life.

I have what I believe to be all info recorded as to who I owe what to, in terms of builds and other gun work, and am planning to start moving ahead with things again at the same time I start back to work, but if anyone who's been ever-so-patiently waiting for me to recuperate wants to touch base feel free to PM or e-mail me.

Man, it's going to be good to once more be getting up with an alarm clock and always feel like I could have used just another hour or two of sleep! I never realized how much my life is defined by my work until I wasn't able to do anything.

Red Badger

Good to hear!  just take your time with the builds and stay away from that saw!

There is a short but very vocal line of people who are all going to want to help kill me if I damage any of the progress I've made, to this point. I very definitely intend to be careful.

I've been using all my power saws, BTW 'shok'. Amazing the different ways you can use push sticks and other little tricks to keep fingers far, far from the blades....

 [hmm] Kinda like once bit.

Amazing how much our work defines us and how out of sinc we feel when something comes along that drasticly changes our routine.
I am glad that you will soon be able to work again.

heatherhistorian
