interesting piece , almost had to be a wall gun . cant imagine trying to move it around from spot to spot on the battlefield !
If that chain fired a guy would want it mounted solidly. Where did you find this?
Tell me it fires auto and I'll reassess everything I know about history!

there`s several antique weapons pages on facebook . lot of " cutlery " and guns everything from handgonnes to lugers and 1911`s pretty sure it`s a wall gun !
It's a four man weapon, Hanshi. One to aim, one to spin the barrels, one to tend the match and one more to flip open the pans and fire it. Then it takes half an hour to reload. There is a rude word for the reloading drill.

No it is crew served - they mount was placed in the ground like a modern tripod, you had 3 barrel systems that attached and were removed as a unit and a servant behind you loading the extra barrel units - like they do when changing the barrels on Ma Duce.... 'SNTY"

That's my grandson last night reading to me.... He said he had just forgotten to much since he was here last time... ( his mom won't keep up with his lessons). He's only 5 so there is still hope
Y'all got me to researching this and I came across a nifty pistol
I think "weird" is a bit more descriptive. [hmm]
I bet this one has an interesting holster.
