I was wondering if anyone had the tandy leather Plains Boot Moccasin pattern they wanted to get rid of. I have my hide from my first deer, and want to make some mocs, and since they will be the first I have done, I would like a pattern to use, to ensure no mistakes are made. I will still make a trial pair first out of canvas. If anyone does have it, Let me know what you want, and I'll get it to you. Thanks!

I dont have a pattern but will recommend using a stronger hide like moose or pigskin for the soles of the mocs or they will wear out fast.
Just been my experience with deerskin mocs.

I have some latigo I was thinking of using. Just don't know how hard it would be to modify the pattern to use it.

If you will go down moc list on forum, Micanopy has posted a good pattern for both tall and reg mocs, and he gave it for free and no postage!  Good luck on them

Unfortunately, I do have canoes for feet. I am a size 13.

I'll have to look that pattern up. I looked around but must have overlooked it.

Thanks Micanopy for the great tutorial. I was looking for a pattern that could be printed out so i can just trace and cut. I realize that I am making a bigger deal out of it than I should.  I just haven't tried making a pair of mocs yet and don't want to mess up an expensive hide. I am going to sew a pair together first made out of canvas or old jeans. Guess I just have to jump in and try. I know I am a good sewer and leather worker, just have to plan this out well.
