He will be missed. I have not been here for a long time  and i dont post much  as i don't have much to say.  But i always enjoyed reading the things Dry Ball had to say or the advice he had to give.  Now he has gone on his journey to the land of dry powder  where the round ball grows as fruit on a tree and the patches are as flowers ......

Spitunia

While we never met he will be remembered with the carbine put together on his sawed off Renegade.
God be with you.

Big Foot and Bull Frog, Really sorry for your great loss...I only knew Dennis on the internet since Aug 2008 and never met him face to face..(missed him by 2 hours at Holcomb Valley). We had plans to meet next time I was in Exeter (only learned he lived there late last year).  I pass through there each year on my way to my wife's family cabin in the Sierra's  and will be going through there in two weeks..Timing really sucks some times..We here on the forum will miss him greatly...I for one will fire a volley in his memory tomorrow when I shoot some targets in the woods.  Its a beautiful area of pines and Aspen he would have liked, sorry he never got to trek it with me...
Doug.

Sorry to hear of your passing Dryball; but now you know that the beaver are really shining up there in the mountains.  Godspeed!

John,  Your Dad and I spent lots of time here, talking to ourselves, way back when the forum first started.  Both of us came so near of giving up at times.  I was so proud when the forum took off.  We went through some real growing pains back then.  I know at times your Dad's heart got broken as well as mine.  We had our disagreements but through it all we were always true friends.  I'm gonna miss him dearly.  I just hope he and ol' Ned Cristy save me a spot by the campfire.

I'll miss my friend alot...right now I'm feelin' like I'm in the fog and ain't seein' clear.
But here's pics I posted in the Chapel.
I used ta get mad at God for taken people from me,. But now I realize as thre Divine Creator has showed me that it is part of one's journey and also part of my own journey.
Even though I ain't real please right now, I'm workin' on acceptance already. Dang Man, Jus' Dang!

We bought Rifles together at the 2009 Rondy here in the Angeles National Forest...I bought a Mowrey we shot it on the line. I was a windy day and he had his .36 Hawken and the targets were out there a ways. I said let's take a brealk get a drink and shop some more...:O) heehee ... he went right back to where I bought tha Mowrey and he grabbed that .54 Hawken Investarms(? spellin) and out shot me with my .50 cal Mowrey...Man oh Man Dryball loved that .54 Hawken with all the gear to shoot it with.
That was the best time I ever had at a Rondy... chrrs Dryball!
Talk to ya all later... I gotta go...

Bryan,  Every time you post anywhere on this site you are posting to Dennis!  Dennis was the start for this site and I am sure is watching each and every post that comes to it... He was a true friend and mentor...

I am so sorry I haven't been able to post on the forum here for a while and just got the news.

Thank you Dryball for all that you have done for this way of life and for this forum. I will remember you every time I log in here. I will miss your witty posts and sense of humor. May you find peace in a better place, for I know that is where you are now.
