Wasp nest substitute

i've used dried, and green oak leaves, over powder, and over shot in a 62 cal. smooth-bore, and they both work well! #9 shot for starlings, and english sparrows, using green leaves. #9 through #6 shot on all other small game, using dry leaves! no fires, no problems.

I'd just be careful that no grit/dirt get into the bore; it can scratch that shiny bore and might eventually cause noticeable damage.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

can't say I ever used wasp nest before but I have had to stomp a couple patch fires out already at the range &)

dos this mean i got to quite leaving my hand made guns out on top of my roof so they will rust bunkr
