WANTED: .45 or .50 cal. rifle

 In a bit my brother is gonna be lookin for a good used rifle in either .45 or .50. Prefer something lower priced but still in decent condition. He's not quite ready yet but I figure I should start looking for one now so we can have some good leads for him.

I have a CVA Hawken in 50 caliber. It isn't the best rifle ever made but I have no doubt it will make meat. I'll send you some pics if you want. I wouldn't want an arm & a leg for it either. I used to shoot a 275 grain TC Maxi on top of 100 grains of 3F (what I should have shot the elk with) but lately I have been plinking with it shooting 50 grains of 2F with a PRB. It is percussion by the way. I believe the twist is 1-48.

I will take some and see if I can post them tomorrow morning. However for now you can check the gone shooting forum and there are pictures of me & Flintboomer. In the pictures I am holding the CVA. It is a Hawken style with a wood stock, brass furniture, and is 50 caliber. The barrle is octagon and blued & it has only one trigger.

Voy, do you have an email address I could send the pics to? I use my work computer and it will not let me access sites like photo bucket or anything like that.

Also please do check out the pic of me in the "gone shooting" forum. There is a good shot of me holding the rifle.

I don't know if it would interest you or not, but I also have another CVA that is basically the same thing but with a black synthetic stock, it would be a little cheaper too. Just an FYI
