There was a man in Oxford that had  a herd several years ago. they were a royal pain!  He has since passed or gotten rid of them ,I believe. might check and see as it is close.  I forget how  many strand barbed wire he had plus pipe and they still occasionally got out, it was up north of town.  I think Jim posted some pics we took this fall at the hog hunt of Poncho-  he is one nice lookin patriarch.

The Quotes that I have been given are for robes and they run form 600 up depending on size. Maybe some one else can give you a better idea.

i found out one of my friends has a buff hide that his dad salted and put in their barn bout six years ago he got it out the skin is good but maggots ate the hair he said 100 bucks and he will tan it and sell it to me should i ump on that price

my wife bought a robe for 12.0 at a aution about 7 years back but it was raining and it was in a trash bag on a trailer with a bunch of quilts and she was the only one that kew what it was every one else just thought it was a nother quilt

there`s a buffalo farm just a few miles from me ,on the other side of the border with maryland . they raise for meat,hides ,and horns . have their own store ! right nice size herd !

ok 50.0 for a salted hide sounds like a lot to me I mean have you ever worked one paying 50.0 for a lot of working just look at how long it would take you to get it soft after you go to all the work of scraping and taning the thing even if it was a small one but hay I am lazzy what can i say

if'n remembering right- micanopy said he got one broke down to rug soft and that was it, if he can't,   I ain't about to even think of it, even with Voy's rack and 100 m/p/h  just my 2 cents worth
