I've done it a few times. One time I was out with my CVA Frontier rifle flinter off the bench and lacked a quarter of an inch of having 3 shots in one hole at 75 yds. A fellow saw it and said he didn't know the old guns shot like that. Another time I was out with my 1851 Navy .36 cal replica. I had been shooting with the butt resting on bags at 25yds wearing contacts and I decided it was time to pack up and go home. I moved the target, a 25yd slow fire center to 10 yds., loaded all 6, and went to stand and deliver. I found my eye was tired so I switched from 2 hand to one hand, weak side and fired all 6 as fast as she dropped back on target. The fellow beside me asked if I thought I'd hit the paper and I told him if they weren't all in the black, I'd give him the gun. I brought the target back and showed him, 1 X, 2 10's 2 9's and an 8. He tried to tell me it was 3 9's but I said if he looked close, I had cut the line so it was an 8.  He was really impressed when he saw the sights. He was shooting a 1911 set up for target. After handling the Colt, he asked where he could get one.
