Sean go on line or ask Heather, there are plenty of patterns out there for free, Thinkin maybe just use an old leg out of a pair of jeans and make a tad bit larger, for a pattern, then figure out how long and get  your leather and thread and stitch away, put some strings for garters to hold um up and ready to go.  or think that's how they attach them, I ain't no expert, ask the boys!   hdslp guess ya already did   make an extra set for Sunday go to meetin rondy's and I bead ya up some side bands.  Di

Step 1. Measuer around the upper portion of your leg where the leggins will be ending, either atop the knee or the thigh just below the groin.
Step 2. Measuer around your ankle.
Step 3. Add two inches to both these.
Step 4. Standin on yer hind legs measure the distance from where they is stopping to the bottom of yer foot, or to where the ground starts.
Step 5. and the tricky part, get some brown shipping paper and fold it in half making sure that you have enough for the length. Now take your top measuerment and cut half of it away so instead of 21 inches you have 10.5, measure from the fold towards the inside of the paper and make a mark. Then follow the fold line down and do the same thing for the ankle. Now take a piece of chalk and a straight edge and make your line from to to ankle.
Step 6. Cut this out and see if it fits, wrap it around your leg and tape it so it will stay where you want it.
Step 7. If it fits use that for a pattern and using the chalk again mark the inside of the leather, wool, grassmat, whatever, and then cut it out and sew it together. If they are short, just above the knee, use garters to tie them in place, if thigh length, use a strip of whatever you cut them out of to tie them to yer belt. Yer now done.
Step 8. Have a tall cold one.
