Recently bought a longbow for my youngest Bekah and the draw weight is too much for her.   >:(

Would it be better for a novice like me to try and work it down to where she can pull it, or just get her another bow with a lighter pull and let her work her way up to the higher one?

Dryball

You know the answer to that one David...you can't have too many guns...or bows! Get her another...she is serious about archery from what you told me.

hey bull,
how many lbs can she pull back comfortable? Ive got a lightweight she is welcome to. maybe 25 lb pull. getting and keeping kids interested in our way of life is necessary to our future. let me know if your interested.

Now thats the kind of answer I'm getting to like on this forum///more power to you.

Bull, try going to a longer bow string. It seems to be working for me. I banged up my shoulders and am just getting back into shooting form. Been two years since I was able to pull a bow. Am working toward getting into shooting shape for next fall.

Or you can just untwist the string some if its a flemish...
