I Finally started to get some more hides in   I butchered 3 large meat goats for a friend  got the hides and the horns  for my trouble. 
Also have a few deer hides   cant wait to hit the breakin beam !!

yep and saved the brains from the goats.  so im gonna be doing some more brain tanning too ....  I figure the goat horns  should make some cool knife handles  and what ever else i might think up.......

yaya  one of these goats was a pygmy  nice short  length and kinda wide  Thinkin' bout making a powder primer for the flick lock out of  one of em !!

Decided to take one them goat hides and leave the hair on  make a rug to give to the fella  whose goats these were 
He always calls me  when he is ready to butcher some and he always gives me the hides  so i figure it would be cool for him to have a rug  from an animal he raised !
It is laying flat soaking up brain  as we speak  hope to have it done by monday.

Yes  they are more difficult  breaking a hair on hide is never fun  LOL

So how do you do it or at least try to brain-tan with hair on? Appreciate any info- Sooner find more ways to get hides out of freezer m ore room for meat!! Bulldog lady

You could always have a bid BBQ and then you would have room for more HIDES!!

you tell me how to have a BBQ with fresh pumpkin for bread/pies and pecans- that about extent of freezer and "hides" and I send you a personal invite!
