practical tip to look soiled yet be cleanish in you clothes...stain pits neck/back/chest cuffs elbows area of your washed clothes with coffee and or coffee red wine mix from spray bottle... do this on hot dry day in the sun and reapply to get distinct multiple "sweat/ filth" lines around these areas...works well on antiquing some leather and all straw stuff too.  The coffee stains wash out if ya care the wine maybe not  , some things only get the coffee treatment 4 this reason. after wash do it all over again...its an art form...

To age items, or give them a bit of a dirty look, I use Chewing tobacco in a bucket of water and let it stew in there for a while til I get the results I want. If I get a chance I will post a pic of my haversack I did when I was doing CSA civil war. Just gotta watch because it can stain it deep brown if let long enough. Tobacco juice does a nice gun stock finish as well.

Nope have a coonskin for cool weather but the cat stays as it is... does a fine job of cleanin mice and other critters from around the property.... not to mention the remains of fleshing projects....

And i'd be without a wife... or have a few bullet holes in me for bringing one to the house... we have enough o' them around anyway during the summer... besides they don't catch mice in the winter.. the cat does...
