  My first one, I had my clothes, a couple wool blankets,  knife, sash, tin cup an plate, old spoon n fork, kentucky rifle and a tarp to make into a la'vous. Most of the guys in our group do what we can to help out our new members if they are short on gear.  We work with the newbies so they can get off to a good start and not be ridiculed or intimidated by the thread counters at other events. Unlike some of the other vous we know that not everyone can afford to just go out and buy all the PC items for their camp, and we encourage them to stick with it and to add to their gear as they can. We do have restrictions but they are not real bad. And with a camp fee of $20 which includes at least 1 meal and the firewood for your camp, it aint a bad deal. And for the guys who are lookin to do trading, we got a great deal for them to. Ely has about 3000 residents but in the summer we have most of our 700,000+ tourists coming through so they should do real well on sales.
