I'll say he is!  The rods are aluminum and came with a brass bore guide that centers it in the barrel preventing damage or excessive wear to the crown and rifling plus are threaded at each end.  I would have been happy with hickory dowels in the right diameter!

Glad they arrived in good condition and you are happy with them. The bore guide is one I had in my spare parts box and figured you could use it on the ram rod you used as a range rod. The rods are hollow fiberglass, so be careful when you cut one down for your rifle length. Cut it slow with a very fine hacksaw blade or abrasive wheel so it won't splinter. Lightly sand of file the end and seal it with some clear epoxy before you put the insert back in. Use them in good health and make good smoke.
