I feel guilty since the high here today was 79 with a stiff breeze.  Going to be around 72 over the weekend.  With the breeze and going on the lake fishing, it is cold enough that I take long sleeves to wear on the boat.  But in 6 months it will be -25 degrees while Texans are enjoying 70's.  Need rain here too but not as bad as Texas.  I hear the lakes are drying up down there.

Dryball

A bit unpleasant here today...112 degrees...and the air is unbreathable outside. Could be worse I guess. Could be having to climb Jeans mountain! ROFL

We got an inch of rain yesterday.  I don't believe the temp got above 90° today! :D

DEADDAWG

I want to know where my global warming is, we barely hit 70 today. Supposed to get into the low 50's tonight. Pretty sad when the end of July isn't warm enough for the kids to go swimming.

Wild Ed

It has been 100 plus for two weeks here in Central Texas.  devel

Yup, the little feller is right bout that.

I agree that extremely hot or cold weather is very uncomfortable but my take on it is  "God gives us hot weather to make us appreciate the cold and cold weather to make us appreciate the hot", also makes you appreciate AC and heaters.

Y'all are welcome to come up to New York for a spell...
We are having a Canadian summer up this way, so far less than a dozen days in the 80's and rain, rain, rain. Cricks look like raging torrents of chocolate milk.
Been steamy with humidity, or as the old folks would say "It's close"...
I could stand a few straight weeks of 88 or so and NO MORE RAIN!!!

Hanshi

Of all the things I miss about my native Georgia, the summer weather isn't one of them.  We're talking a prolonged drought in which the relative humidity is still averaging 80 - 90%, bugs so thick you can't walk without a machette and our state bird, the gnat! :-&
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
