wife has been askin about making new handles for them two little guns, says they are too small for the kids, there fingers get all wrapped around them and its too hard for her to get them to hold them right.  Any suggestions on wood and technique cause I got no idea on either one.

I'm not a great judge of wood but the larger grip might be Oak, little one seems to be Cherry.  The larger grip is much easier to cock and hold onto.
