Ironwood, Congradulations on the finely crafted bag. You have done your level best to produce a finely crafted bag and succeded in the highest level. The only reason some think it looks too "machine done". is because so few can atain that level of craftsmanship. 
I was once told my brain tan was too smooth to be natural.  I smile at that ment insult every time I succede in making another just like it.
Folks that see "too good" have built in limitations.  RBMJS

I cut off an "ice pick" polished the heck out of it, chuck it in the press,turn on the drill and viola',punched holes. Leathermonger is spot on,holes to small for size of thread. I stopped using sinew a long time ago, now only waxed linen. The sinew was way to strong and sometimes cut through the leather.

Good to know, Pathfinder! I wonder at times how to solve problems like that!
