I love that look Capt.  Beautiful firearm sir!!

Well, my Pedersoli 20 bore howdah pistol would be my favorite, because it's my only frontstuffing smoothbore, so far. If I can't get good accuracy with my 2 TC .50 cals that had rusty bores, I'll bore them out to 20 or 12 bore. thmbsup

Who can bore out a barrel ? I'd like to have this done to some repro tubes !

Ironwood

Pete, someone gave me the name of a fellow that will do a rebore for you.  I had his name but not real sure where it might be.  I'll look and maybe in the mean time whoever gave me the name will see your request.

bull frog

I would be interested in that myself Gene, got a barrel or two around here that would still be useable if bored out.

Ironwood

Ok here's the e-mail address to Mr. Taylor that does barrel re-boring.  He got right back to me about my inquiry.

I know GM makes their .62cal..20ga smoothbores in one inch drop in barrels for the large size T/C Hawken.

But can a 1" barrel handle being bored out to a .12ga and still have enough wall thickness left?

And would it have to be rebreeched or could the .12ga boring stop just above the beveled mouth of the patent breech?

Hi everyone! My next purchase will be a smoothbore, some kind of fowler. Right now all i have is my navy arms sxs. I hunt all small game with it. i might get a 62. cal 20gauge bbl from green mtn for my hawken. later slap happy

Greetings Everyone

Here is a picture of my favorite smoothies. Hard for me to choose since I love Blackpower Weapons. The top on is an original 12 gauge, and according to the markings it was made in Belguim, a real good shooter. The other was given to me by a friend of my fathers, he has since passed away but when Dad saw him he would always ask if I still had the "little smoothbore". It has taken a few squirrels and rabbits, plus cans, snakes and other things fun to shoot.

My favorite smooth bore is the one I'm having built.  Haven't received it yet but that'll give me a little more time to sell off my dbl barrel 12ga percussion.  The 12ga Pedersoli is beautiful and fun to shoot but it isn't flint.  The new fowler is .62 and will shoot mostly ball.  38" bbl, Chambers Colonial Va. lock, figured maple stock & iron mountings.
