We went to the "Not so grand valley shoot" at Menominee, IN put on by the Traveling Primates. It was a "lay back" camp meaning it was mostly modern clothes/camps but extra points awarded for primitive attire.

Katie Rose WON 1st place in kids H&K. cut her card with groundhogs hawk! and stuck her new knife 2 of 3 times! she was sooooo happy! She also did ok on the archery but didn't place.



There was also a big Schuetzen contest. I had the best shot on it at the end of day Saturday but had to wait through about 5 more shooters Sunday, but I won! woooo hooooo! it was awesome!!! I was totally excited, it made up for my 3rd place on rifle.  though now they are talking about splitting up to a mens and womens divisions - I am NOT in favor of that idea!  :)

finally, one of the best parts of the weekend.... the Blind Brigade: the daughter of one of our camp friends is legally blind and handicapped, but she LOVES to rendezvous. She was dying to shoot so we set up a brigade to help, 2 guys proped the barrel of my gun up, another guy sited in for Erin, and she held the stock and pulled the trigger. She HIT the target! and burst into tears! what a day! it was awesome!


Thanks again for the knife, I can assure you KR LOVES it!!!
