A little late but I hope everyone had a Safe and Merry Christmas. Between work, Christmas shopping, and family gatherings I've been running in circles  pnic but I will have time to post up some stuff this week finally.

Merry Christmas to all, and a happy new year.  We had a pleasant, low key Christmas. We didn't have to travel much. We're planning a very quiet New Years here at home.

I can remember when we only had about 7 members.  Just look at us now, 699 registered members, and soon to be 700.   :applause: :applause: :applause:    Big ol' Thanks to all of you!

Yah reckon it's cause we are such a family and always welcoming new folks, we share, we laugh, we cry, some good hearted razzin', but most of all we are all helping to keep the era of the Mt Man and other days and life styles long gone - alive - as well as the blackpowder traditions, we all seem to have the same idea in common , to pass this on to future generations, learn ourselves in the process and enjoy life, lordy know tain't none of us getting any younger!!   flwa :applause: chrrs

Thanks fer puttin' up wiff me...  :-*

Unfortunatly that is a bit misleading -

I am in the process of trimming our numbers, Those who have not visited the site in 6 months receive an email and if it comes back as a returned undiverable those members are deleted.

I suppose you should just delete this whole thread then.

Hell, no! Some members are just a little shy...

Red Badger

We do not delete the members who just look - they are valued but if they just sign up and never come back or have not been back even to look for 6 months, then we send them an individual email asking them to look at us again...

Some of them send us an email back saying they forgot their username or password and we can remedy that and they log in - some have just forgot the web site address and they check in... others came looked and decided we were not for them.. so never come back... others are spammers looking to make a quick kill...

We value all our members and will never remove a member just because they do not post... if they check in once every 6 months they stay even if they do not post....

I update this as I have a chance... we are currently at 606 members!  of course there are 29 that I have just sent the reminder email to so that brings us down to 577 members who check in at least once every 6 months and 2 who are permanent members of the site and will never be removed as they have passed to the Big Rendezvous in the sky....

He is here with us every day!  I too miss him and his phone calls but am sure he is happy watching over his site (I hope with pride!)

But it was decided after his passing that we would keep his words and pictures active and not retire them to the archives... this way he lives on as long as the site lives... Rest In Peace my friend and Brother!
