I never even carried the stuff he recommends when hunting.  I carried very little compared to his little bag suggestion.  Much of the stuff he shows stays in my truck in the backpack.  Of course it depended on what I was hunting.  Deer, for instance, I carried 4 or 5 balls plus the one in the rifle, lubed precut patches, powder horn, a very small priming horn.  The patchbox holds an extra flint while my short starter is on my bag strap and a screwdriver tool.  When hunting squirrels I carry about twice that number of balls, and when using premeasured powder I leave the horn at home.  I've often hunted with no bag or horn and everything I needed in my pockets.  I always thought I carried too much stuff but then, maybe not.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
