We all love them so why isn't there a forum where we can talk about them?  I'm referring to DOGS, of course.  Yes, we already have a few forums we could dispense with; so why don't we do that and make room for something that we all mostly agree on?

A couple of years ago I would be eager for a dog forum. After the death of my best dog ever, it just makes me sad.

It has been awful for me as well, having lost so many dogs - including Micky The Wonder Dog, basset model.  The last rescue we fostered was with us many weeks while he was being assessed.  He had major health issues and required daily medication.  Plus he was an older gentleman, around 13-14 yoa.  It took the board a couple of months to come to a decision that he was NOT adoptable.  This meant that he was ours for the duration.  The little guy needed a loving home for his twilight years, we are giving him that.  He is super lovable and, get this, actually speaks a little French.  His former life was not a good one we were told.  He's mostly deaf but can hear higher pitches, my wife for instance.  He reads faces/body language very well.  His name is "Brutus"!  My wife calls him "Buddy".

When we lost our little min-pin, "Sissy" over two years ago we were left dogless for the first time in our adult lives.  I miss them, have them in my dreams and endure the agony of being without them.  I have a collage with all the dogs who have allowed us to be their "owner" and have honored us by becoming a member of our family.

The collage - my squeeze calls it a "Shrine" - is in my room; so one can see my love of canines, doggies to the rest of.  This is why I suggested a separate forum for their discussion.

Shaterica, we tried to gain custody of her, is holding "Shorty", our petiet basset griffon.

"Sissy" and "Little Bit".

"Micky The Wonder Dog".
