slep I don't want to wake anyone up, but we do need to report in more regularly now that we're most of you are aging.  The traffic here has been a bit slow the past few decades so it's been hard to catch up with one-another.  Is everyone okay?  Watcha up to?
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Doing fine just bored. Went out to the shop the other day and found the cement floor, and that took about  3 hr. Over the years there has been a lot of stuff just thrown in and  not put in there places.
That is a project for another day. week, month.
Health is doing as well as can be expected for a man 73 that never took care of his self.  :mini-devil-28492:

Still working and commuting 45 min each way. Up at 4AM off whenever. Next Tuesday we will be 11 weeks past deadline and the company is bleeding to the tune of roughly $5k per day. There IS light at the end of the tunnel, I just hope it's not a train.  pnic

Red Badger

11 of the last 35 days have been spent in the hospital... 1 cervical neck replacement, 2 wound washes to try and get rid of the infection.  Still am on strict bed rest.  limited to 1/2 hour sitting up each day...

still recovering from the accident last month , making progress on that , right leg should be good by christmas , my back is a whole nother matter ,ol arthur has taken up residence , and he`s a nasty old bugger ! would evict him if possible !

Sir Badger, Sir beowulf, we are going to have to get you two back in fighting shape!  We can't have the two of you under the weather.  Again, best wishes for full recoveries.  dntn

Old salt, I can empathize.  I did all the right things and still ended up as nothing more than bear bait.  I always craved physical activity so keeping in shape was easy for me.  But being born with a couple of congenital aberrations and ra waiting it's turn to attack, the die was set.  But my rheumatologists have told me that my life of vigorous physicality is the only thing that kept me from being confined to a wheelchair.  Even at 60 I could still do full splits.  For my age, 74, I at least still maintain flexibility that's far above average.  In fact, although at 74, I don't feel a day older than 73.  bs

We'll just drink to that, in this case.

I threw this in just for fun, enjoy.

True, it does. However, last Monday finished the job. And since there is nothing on the board that requires my particular skillset, I am free to lounge about for the rest of the winter. ( bunkr Anybody see Maggie anywhere?  cuch ) And I DID get two fine modern riles out of the deal, and replaced our microwave, cook top, cookware and the washing machine.
And it helps that I am a mere kid of only 67-.  &)

Hanshi

67!  Yep, that does help......YOU!  chrrs

My family and I are just trying to keep are heads down during the surge in covid cases here in NH. We don't go into stores unless absolutely necessary. I've had to get a root canal and a crown during the last month which required 4 visits to a dentists office. I potentially got exposed at the polls when I voted but still no symptoms. And to top it off mice got into my wife's car and made a huge mess. The insurance company totaled the car and now we have to get a new one. Geez, 2020 has been quite a year.

been thinking hard on it , and honestly cannot come up with a derogatory term bad enough for 2020 ! here in pa they keep telling us how very bad the "virus " is hitting the state , and we just are`nt seeing it ! wolf and levine were caught fudging the numbers , and seem to be back at it ! as for the rest of 2020 , not one good thing has happened - not one ! and I frankly have no hope whatsoever for next year ! or the next decade for that matter ! I will not be celebrating christmas this year ,december and january are going to be rough !  close friend was in serious trouble , so being one of the good guys ( despite the fact that my hat is brown rather than the prescribed white ) I helped out to the tune of $400 bucks . not a lot if you have a big bank account , I dont ! lol  but sometimes you just have too do what you have too do ! I`ll be ok in the long run !  hoping the leg is completely healed by christmas ! wish me luck !  ;D

You know beowulf  [hmm]  "2020" might just be the New derogatory term for when things are Screwed up so bad its like it will never end. Instead of saying Cuss Words,..by just saying "2020" it will be immediately understood by all... pnic pnic

2020?  Yeah  :blech: :blech:  :-&

The only time I've gotten out of the house has been to take a walk or to go to doctor visits - we have a lot (too many) of those.  I started reading H. P. Lovecraft when I was around 11 or 12.  So when things are very bad I pick up one of my many books of his and read a story or two.  If anything can can convince you it could be worse; that'll do it!  I haven't been out to shoot since Nov. 2019!  Still have three rifles loaded from my abbreviated hunting season last year that need to be fired and cleaned.

We don't "celebrate" Xmas we just enjoy the secular trappings/traditions.  I don't have my little doggies to put up stockings for, and this saddens me greatly.  All my family's gone except for one aunt in her 90s that I call but but likely won't ever see again.  We were always a very close family.  Whenever I need a good laugh I have a book with photos of a platypus that I pull out.  Nothing like this year has ever occurred in any of our lifetimes.

it's past time for Earth to be invaded by aliens; I can't wait, bring it on!  And covid was their way of sorta "introducing" themselves.  China??  Sure, it came from China like the dinosaur-killing asteroid was manufactured in Germany!  DUH!  I've been accused of developing it but I am innocent; much too complex for my "incredible" yet unworthy brain.  noway

I dont think the "great old ones " are returning , and "cthulhu " seems to have lost interest !  not that I can blame him ! government has done far more damage than he is capable of !  so far this year has been one big steaming pile of 2020 !
