Okay, now!  With the entire month of May to go, we should have a good group of shooters.  Daily rain is the bugaboo up here and I'll need all month to get a non rain day.  This has been missed for a while, by me, and I'm sure by others as well.

Thanks for stepping up as scorer again.

Download the target here:

The target is the 600 yd reduced to 100. Be sure to set your printer to print at 100% so we are all shooting at the same size target.

Pistol target is the same as the rifle target, and that means that a COMPLETE MISS can be reshot. Just shoot 5 holes in the target.

email the targets to Drei.Krahen@gmail.com.

Unable to download target. What now?

It is a pdf file, so you will need Adobe Acrobat to open it and print it out.

After I printed my copy a few years ago I had a bunch of them zeroxed off so I'd have a decent supply on hand.

I think I'll get to the range tomorrow and shoot the rifle part.  Supposed to be a nice day with no rain.  Later I'll try the pistol part.   hntr

So far we haven't heard from anyone concerning how their shooting is going so I'll report on mine.  I took my .45 out over a week ago and did the offhand and bench targets.  The offhand target managed a very tight 4-shot group and a flyer that was still in the black.  An otherwise very good target.  By "otherwise" I mean the rifle was shooting to the right and the group was at least an inch too far from the good score rings.  It is the kind of target I might brag about if it wasn't for score.  Impressive group but in the wrong place.

Now to the bench 50yd.  I've had shotgun patterns group tighter at that distance!  If we can get a day without rain - yeah, sure - I'll go out with my .36 and try again.  I'm going to hang onto the previously fired offhand target just in case.  It's at least good enough for maybe next-to-last place.  Still have yet to shoot the pistol.   pnic

I finally got the 25 yd shot. :qz:
It doesn't look good and I don't know if its me or the gun, but it used to be my best shooter.
I will try to get more done later but I had a chance to encourage a rookie and I won't usually pass up a chance to recruit black powder shooters.

I can't access the target so I haven't bothered.

First, check your downloads folder (i.e. the folder on your computer where files go when you download them) and see if the target is there.  I clicked on the link and it was automatically dumped into my download folder, it didn't open a separate page on the forum.  If it isn't there, pm me your email address and I'll send it to you as an attachment.  It's not a large file, 97.2 KB so shouldn't clutter up your mailbox.

If anyone has a problem downloading the targets let me know - I just checked the link and got them in my download file area...

I will probably not be shooting this month - too much water and high winds have made my range ( and back yard) impassable - will try if the weather clears but more storms forecasted this week.

I re-shot the 25 yd and the 50 yd targets today and, and while far from good, they are a little better than the first ones.  Now I have to find a day dry enough to shoot the pistol target.

Was hoping to shoot this last weekend but did not get time. Had to do all the chores before getting my back done.
Went under the knife today so I am done for a spell, can't lift over 5 lbs and have a live in Warden

Hmm, how much does a Seneca weigh?
She weighed half the stuff I own.

Heal up fast, Blackfeet.  It actually won't take long, relatively speaking, to get back in the game.  Been there; done that.  A nearly two year ordeal but it was pretty bad.

Thanks Hanshi.
This is my second go round, mostly cleaning up the mess they made of it last time back when they used chisels and hammers 43 years ago. That and removing a bunch of athritis rubbing on the nerves
Yesterday was horrible, today is tolerable.Been out to the target butt several times today but being watched like a hawk.
