Felt like tinkering today so I took a break from my gun build and finished up a little bag ax I started a couple of months ago.

I don't know Woody, I usually just open a bag by tearing the paper. Haven't found one tough enough to need an ax yet.   ROFL  ROFL

I don't remember seeing this before, did you forge the head yourself? It is ,as always, a nice looking piece.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

Good looking ax

Thank you, I really liked these little guys when I first saw one.

Red Badger

I picked one up as a gag for Lady Bulldog a few years ago.... then found out how useful it actually is for camp chores... So I commendiered it back...  :mini-devil-28492:  Don't ask what it cost me in the long run  :'(

Very, very nice and really small!  What does it weigh - not that I can build one?

This weighs in at 4.8 oz.  ;D

Hanshi,
Don't bet against yourself. These are available finished or as kits. I've got both. Also different style heads.

I carry a small axe like that during hunting season. Makes splitting the rib cage on a deer - a piece of cake. Just keep your fingers out of the way... Mine is sharp enough to lop them off Very Quickly....

met a guy at he very first black powder shoot I ever attended , he had a small bag ax that he used for skinning as well as field dressing his deer !

My question now is, "WHERE DID THOSE PICS COME FROM ON MY POSTS???  They weren't there yesterday and I DIDN'T put them there!  What the H#%@* is happening with - I suppose it's photobucket?? worming into our posts, now??!   noway (susp)

FINALLY!  I got it back to what it always has been.  Talk about a fight with Pukebucket; it took me the better part of an hour to get done what should have taken 3 minutes.
