Except for one nipple on a Mongrel rifle that takes a metric box end wrench, I have two wrenches of unknown make that I picked up on ebay that have done everything I've put them through, INCLUDING having a cheater put on one to get out a nipple that had been in there since the dawn of time. I ALWAYS put a bit of anti-seize grease on the threads and never have an issue getting the nipples out.
One tub will last you for YEARS. Small price to pay for ease of cleaning.

I know I'm late to the party but.  Deep socket, cut to fit, best wrench ever.  For use on revolvers you may have to turn down the OD but still no big deal, electric drill & file.

Never to late to add a helpful comment!  someone will need this advise in the future... That's why we keep the old posts alive....

I do not have any suggestions on nipple wrenches, but I have found that if do not tighten them down, just use the wrench to tighten them finger tight on cap and ball pistols, they are not as hard to get them out the next time, and they are not going to come out and get you.
Just one man experience.
